Flying into 3

Hudson is really into helping and being apart of everything we do these days...even with making the coffee with Daddy.

Last Friday for an after birthday surprise we took Hudson to the Airplane Museum. He fell asleep on the way there and woke up to see airplanes behind the car. That definitely made him wake up in a good mood.

We went to the first hanger and he was really into looking at the planes.

Then he quickly realized he was in a large, open warehouse that had good running space. For the rest of the day we were just trying to keep him from constantly running around the entire place. He's not usually that energetic in public, but he was WIRED that day.

Justin was excited because he got to see his favorite plane there.

Hudson blended in with the camo helicopter.

When we visited the airplanes outside, he ran from one to another checking them out. He managed to get the gas cap opened on one of the planes. Our little mechanic.

They had several antique cars there, and he really wanted to sit in them. He asked about every single one. I think this museum was a little less of a hit than the history and science museum because it didn't involve as many hands on activities.

We took a bus out to another area and got to watch them back this really old plane into the hanger, which took too long to keep the attention of a 3 year old.

Then Hudson tried to become to official photographer of the day.

He went back to see this boat several times. He seemed to like it because it had lots of little planes and people and it was more his size.

When we were getting ready to leave they came and told us they were going to start this airplane and we could watch. So, we went and sat in a hanger and waited for it to start. When it finally started Hudson said he wanted it quiet again. But since then he watches the video of it on my phone pretty often.

Saturday afternoon we got our Christmas decorations out. You wouldn't guess because Hudson was wearing his Halloween jammers.

He didn't participate in the decorating, just in going through all the boxes of stuff.

On Sunday at church several people gave Hudson birthday presents. Here are some of the silly gifts he got. They must know him well!

That evening he wanted to snuggle with me on the couch, so we did while he played games on my phone.

Just a cute picture of him playing with his snowman deck of cards he got from our trip with our church to the nursing home on Sunday night.
