He got a package on Friday with a birthday present and he named him "Chicky."
We had his 3rd birthday party on Saturday. Ashtyn, Aubrey and Juju came early to help set up. Hudson got in a little snuggle time with Ashtyn before his party.
Showing off his #3 shirt I made him and carrying his suitcase with a balloon attached.
Some of the friends at the party hanging out.
Hudson loves his Aunt Juju. She was holding him up to skype with Pops & Nana during the party.
Opening his first present with Daddy.
Jorjon was on trash duty while Hudson opened presents. He was sort of attached to this laptop and didn't want to put it down to open anymore presents.
So, we told him to set the laptop on Jorjon's lap so it would still be close to him while he opened more presents. Instead he climbed on Jorjon's lap to play with the laptop. We all cracked up!
Then he stayed on Jorjon's lap while he opened more presents.
Justin went shopping on his lunch break one day to buy an airplane especially for Hudson at his airplane party. He bought him this metal airplane that Hudson has to carry with both hands because it's so heavy, but he thinks its so cool.
I never get good shots of the candle blowing at his parties. This was as good as I got this year. We brought him a little airplane cake that he decorated after he blew out the candle.
We made small airplane cakes for everyone to decorate like the trains last year.
Aunt Britney sent this tractor and repair set for his birthday, all the kids were crowded around watching this one work.
Here's a funny video of Hudson and his pal Cooper saying goodbye at his party. As you can tell Hudson is not a fan of kisses unless he initiates it.
You can see Hudson dug into the candy that evening after the party! He had blue stains from icing on his face and clothes.
In honor of Hudson's 3rd Birthday here are the 3 things I love most about my boy:
1 - How smart he is - He constantly amazes me with the things he says and does that show how much he pays attention to the world around him. He really loves to learn new things and especially discover things. He listens so well when we are telling him about new things he's never learned about before. He talks about the museum trip alot and all the things he learned while there.
2 - How happy he is - I think this boy could put a smile on anyone's face. Just his silly faces alone can crack you up. He works to keep people around him happy, laughing and smiling, but you never really know what he'll do or say to get you smiling!
3 - That he is ALL boy - He loves planes, trains and automobiles, making all types of sound effects, running, being active and causing all kinds of ruckus.
Pops and Nana sent Hudson a new blanket for his birthday. He loves choosing a blanket to sleep with or snuggle while we read books so this new one was a treat. On Sunday I was cold and sat down with his new tractor blanket on me and he came up, took the blanket and told me that was his new blanket.

It got really cold here on Monday and we got icicles. I took Hudson outside earlier in the day to see them and that evening he wanted to check on them again.
They had gotten longer throughout the day so he was showing us how long they had gotten as he stared at them through the window. We had to make him come in because he wanted to stay out and stare at them.
Here is Hudson on our kitchen counter yesterday morning. He had just woken up so he is a little groggy.
This morning when Justin dropped Hudson off at school the teacher told us that during naptime on Tuesday when he was supposed to be on his nap mat (he never sleeps) he snuck into the teachers stash of candy canes, passed them out to all the kids and then sat down and ate his. I guess this is a glimpse into our future of his school years.
