Justin ended up breaking our broom so Hudson finished the job for us.
That afternoon we took a cleaning break and made Hudson's Mr Potato pumpkin. We had to use a screwdriver to make the holes and Hudson used his muscles for that part.
The finished pumpkin. It is supposed to be a cowboy, but I'm not convinced of it.
Hudson wanted to "play tools" so I got him a piece of scrap wood to work on. He ended up taking the wrench to the backyard and ripping up an ivy.
Sunday night he sat on the coffee table to watch one of his favorite movies - Iron Giant. This movie keeps his attention more than any other movie.
After he went to bed Justin and I had a "pumpkin carving date." I just used a pattern and Justin drew his own from a video game he likes.
Monday - Halloween. We continued with our themed costumes again. This year it was Super Heroes. The idea came from the capes I made the kids this summer. While we were getting ready the kids were working.
Ashtyn and Hudson in their costumes.
Our Caped Crusader
Ashtyn showing off.
Watch out for Aubrey.
The kids practicing their super hero flying.
All 3 together.
Hudson's first candy of the night - a pixy stick.
Practicing their Super Hero poses.
Our next stop was Grandma & Grandpa's. We caught up with Ian over there dressed as Charlie Brown. I'm guessing he wanted to steal Uncle Justin's sucker.
Toward the end of the night - this was between a sugar high and a sugar crash.
I just thought this was a cute picture of Aubrey spinning.
The 4 cousins together.
Grandma wanted a few more pictures on the porch, but I don't think she got much more than this. Hudson had hit another sugar high at this point.
Tuesday night Justin made us his famous "bibimbop" dish for dinner. We were eating with chopsticks and Hudson wanted in on it, so here he is using them for the fist time. He just picked the food up, pushed it onto the chopstick, then took a bite.
